HI, my name is Mike Manster; and I am the one responsible for the Drive-By Shooting Review series. I hope you enjoy them and find them useful. I make every attempt to make the reviews informative, yet easy to follow and understand. I too know how hard it can be to get information about a product, when the person doing the review writes or speaks in a manner that only another geek can understand. While I am too undoubtedly a certified geek; I have been taking a few classes on how to speak like normal people. I just hope that it’s working.

You might ask yourself, why I think I am qualified to write these reviews; and that would be a perfectly reasonable and valid question. Perhaps I’m not actually; however, I have been working as a hardware engineer and computer engineering consultant in the IT field, for the last 23 years. So, I do have at least a modest knowledge of that which I so often spout off about. I work as Chief Technology Officer for Blue Tree Technologies, Inc, where I oversee the planning and development of our many award winning hardware technologies. If you have used one of our products and enjoyed it, then I had a little to do with that. If you didn’t like the product, then I am the one to blame. Sorry.

I did the double major thing in college, and received my bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. I was also fortunate enough to return and finish my Masters Degree in Mathematics.

I have developed my own very strict and proprietary methods for testing the products I review, and I take my reviews very seriously. I do my absolute level best never to pull any punches, play any favorites or give anyone a free ride. I call them as I seem them. That’s why they’re called Drive-By Shooting Reviews…Occasionally, someone’s feelings get hurt.
