Introduction

Before we even begin to get started with this review, I need to divulge that I have personally purchased this LCD monitor recently, and so for the sake of total disclosure I am informing you. Simply put, after I finished testing this monitor, I had to have one of my own; so, I put in a call to my favorite PC components vendor and ordered for my own personal use.

Features / Performance

This monitor comes with so many features that it is probably easier to discuss the one’s it doesn’t have – there are none! This LCD monitor is all actuality a HDTV television disguised as a high quality PC monitor. It has a standard PC connection, component and optical video input connections; which, by the way, are hard to find on a computer monitor. It has surround sound speakers; and it even has its own remote control.

Picture quality on the Samsung Multi Function P2370HD 22-inch LCD HDTV Monitor is simply stunning; colors are rich  and precise. Blacks, whites and grays are also excellent. Further, text is crystal clear and well defined.

The P2370HD also offers exceptional performance; the Samsung P2370HD 22 inch LCD HDTV Monitor is like a speeding bullet in the way it performs. It offers a blazing 5 ms response time, so, you won’t notice any ghosting or image blur. It is also offers an exceptional brightness rating of 300 cd/m sq. This means that even in the brightest rooms, it is very easy to see.

The Samsung TP2370HD was designed to be used as a primary monitor with your personal computer, but, it is also a top-shelf HDTV television as well; it has a genuine HDTV tuner built right into its design and casing. It offers a ample and amazing 16:9 widescreen format and is compatible with all source devices and most console games.

Sound quality is just average, and I wish it would have been better. So, if you are serious about your sounds, then get some better quality computer speakers. The remote control works the same any other remote controls that come with a standard sized TV. And finally, the P2370HD LCD monitor has the ability to be wall mounted. The wall-mount isn’t supplied with the TV, but it can easily be ordered and purchased direct from Samsung.
