Best of the Best – Samsung LN46B750 46-Inch 1080p 240Hz LCD HDTV with Charcoal Grey Touch of Color
Introduction
A couple of weeks ago, my liaison in the Samsung television division give me a call (yes I have a liaison with Samsung; after all I do review a lot of their TVs). Anyway, the Samsung guy called me and asked me a very simple question – he says ‘how would you like to test the best 46 inch LCD on the market?’ I thought about it for about 3/10 of a second and then said ‘sure, why not?’ Well my test is finished and I’m ready to share my results.
Features/ Performance
The guy from Samsung didn’t lie; this is the best 46 inch LCD TV I have ever seen; and talk about features! Whoa! The Samsung LN46B750 46” flat LCD has more features, bells and whistles and other really nifty, cool gadgets than any television I’ve ever come across. There is absolutely no way that I can tell you about them all; so, I’ve picked a few that you should know about.
Medi 2.0 is Samsung’s new component for displaying Internet content on your television; it displays content from Yahoo, Flickr and other online sites supporting widgets. We’re not talking about a few sites here; Google the word “widgets” and you’ll find thousands of sites. In addition, you can even access pictures, video and other media located on your PC from the comfort of your couch using only the TV remote control; dude, talk about WOW!
Of course, with a HDTV of this caliber you would expect an ample number of connection ports, and the LN46B750 does not disappoint. HDMI, D-Sub, VGA, USB, component video, and there is almost no end to the list; suffice to say, if it has a connector, then this TV has a place to put it.
Performance on the Samsung LN46B750 46 inch flat HDTV is un-bleeping believable. While watching ‘Iron Man’ on HD-DVD, I swear it looked better than in the theater. Colors are awesome, zero ghosting, no blur whatsoever-I’m speechless. With the exception of MAYBE only two or three very, very expensive plasma TVs, this LCD has the best picture I have ever seen on a television. That Samsung can offer this TV for under $2000 is simply unreal.
Conclusion
In case you haven’t already figured it out, I really like this TV. I strongly recommend it.
