The Big Boys – Samsung LN52B630 52-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color
Introduction
The Samsung LN52B630 52-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV is a very high-end high-definition LCD television that is garnering tons of good press these days. Therefore, I had to find out for myself; is this TV worth the hype? Join me, as we find out.
Features / Performance
Like all Samsung high-end televisions, this one is packed with more features than you will ever use. Check this out — four HDMI ports, two USB connections, RSS feeds via Ethernet, PC input and the list goes on. In short, if you want to connect it to this TV — there’s a place for it.
In addition to its host of connectivity options, the Samsung LN52B630 offers an array of other useful features such as picture in picture, game mode and Samsung’s acclaimed Wide Color Enhancer. It also has a built in HDTV tuner; which will allow you to watch major network HDTV programming without an external cable box.
And if that’s not enough for you, it also comes with stereo surround sound, a swivel stand and it even comes with Samsung’s highly touted Red Touch of Color technology that produces a red ambient light which enhances the viewing experience. If you haven’t seen this, it’s a very visually appealing feature. The TV also includes one of Samsung’s state-of-the-art remote control units that are the best in the industry. The remote is very well designed and laid out, the buttons are large and easy to press and the remote easily connects to and auto configures any device you can imagine.
The Samsung LN52B630 52-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV offers performance that is second to none. Contrast ratio and response times are extraordinary and enable a thrilling viewing experience when playing video games or watching fast action DVD movies.
Picture quality and clarity is absolutely amazing; actually “breathtaking” would be a better description; furthermore, color tone and balance is as warm, natural and believable as I have ever seen on a LCD TV. It is very comparable to even high-end plasma televisions. The screen uses a matte finish, which means it’s not as susceptible to glare from sunlight as are glossy finish screens.
Conclusion
The Samsung LN52B630 is one of the finest TVs I have ever had the pleasure of testing. I highly recommend this TV; it’s a great choice at any price.
