Features / Performance
It did not take me very long at all to figure out the reasons why this particular TV is so immensely popular and is doing so well in the sales channel. There is just so much to like at about the Samsung LN32B550 LCD TV; for instance, the connection choices are almost unheard of in a LCD TV of this size and price; it has with 3 HDMI ports, 2 Component Video connections and has a PC port connection. Add to that the fact the TV is certified 1080p and its sub $800 price is literally insane (insanely low that is).
With an incredible contrast ratio of 70,000:1 and a 6ms response time, the Samsung LN32B50 offers mind-boggling performance. While playing games on your favorite console game station or watching fast action-motion movies, there was absolutely no ( I mean none – like zero) ghosting or motion blurring. Colors were accurate, brilliant and vibrant. In addition, black, gray and white shades were rich, pure and deep. Deep black is fantastic.
The Sound on the Samsung LN32B550 was amazing for a smaller TV; and you probably won’t need to use an external audio system; unless, you just like it super loud. The remote is very well made and easy to use; it picked up all peripheral devices and was easy to configure.
But of course, the most remarkable thing about the LN32B550 is its picture quality – breathtaking! The picture is vibrant, warm and life-like. 1080p shines through at its best in this TV, even though it may not actually be needed in a TV of this size.
The TV also comes with a side mounted USB port for viewing movies and pictures directly from the removable media; a very convenient method of having friends bring over to watch their favorite movies or shows.
Conclusion
The is a whole lot of TV for a little money. Great features, great performance and great prices – I’ll take two please!
