Office LCD Monitor Reviews – The Samsung SyncMaster 743BX 17-inch LCD Monitor
Introduction
The Samsung SyncMaster 743BX 17-inch LCD Monitor is a workhorse! It’s rugged, durable and inexpensive; moreover, it is specifically designed for business use with every day applications. Designed to be used day in and day out in a variety of situations and applications, the monitor is not really designed for gaming or video editing. Today, I put it through some real world office tests, to see how tough it really is.
Features / Performance
The Samsung SyncMaster 743BX 17 inch LCD monitor pretty much a simple, no extras intended, no nonsense kind of monitor. It gives you everything you actually need in a monitor and nothing really in the way extras you may want; however, the monitor does do what it was designed to do – that is to be a durable, dependable monitor that helps you get your work done without headaches or distraction. The monitor does allow for adjustment in height and the tilting of the viewing angle. Besides that, there is not a whole lot it offers in terms of features. Pretty ‘Plain Jane’.
Although the SyncMaster 743BX 17 inch LCD monitor doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles, it does very well in the areas of dependability and performance. With a Dot Pitch of .26 dpi, the monitor delivers a crisp and easy to view picture display. Moreover, its dynamic contest ratio of 1500 to 1 allows for clear and easy viewing in an array of different and varied lighting scenarios.
The Samsung SyncMaster 743BX does have one very impressive feature though – a remarkable 170° viewing angle capability, which allows for the monitor to easily be viewed by several people at once. In an office setting, this can prove extremely useful, because it allows you and your coworkers to easily view and work on applications together. The brightness rating of the Samsung SyncMaster 743BX is an excellent 0 cd/m2 which enables the monitor to be easily viewed even in very bright or well lit offices.
The monitor is very well built, substantial and designed to stand up to the abuse of everyday office life. It has garnered a well earned reputation as rugged and reliable.

If you are looking for a basic, no bells and whistles, LCD monitor that also offers very good performance, reliable build quality and dependability, then the Samsung SyncMaster 743BX 17 inch TFT LCD will make a great addition to your office.
